![]() The theme and music that is used is just straight up bad and hard to listen to, there have three rounds and not four. The parts of obstacles that push and shove contestants around are way too calm and soft. The intro-animations for the contestants are just cringey and unnecessary. It is way to cinematic and is annoying to look at and the are few vertical and ariel shots. Both of the hosts do not fit with the show at all, they became political, and the show is rated TV-14 not TV-PG with some of their commentary, and there are too many shots of them. The prizes were halved with the winner of the episode getting $25,000 not $50,000, and Smallsy being worth $250 not $500. In this new series that have teams of two not just one person, four people in the Wipeout Zone acting as teams which is just awful, and after ten minutes on an obstacle you can just skip it. They didn't learn anything and made it worse. You would think the producers would learn from their mistakes but no. Season seven also had obstacles that were very hard to make just for the sake of tv, and the Wipeout Zone was ruined because if the contestant failed on an obstacle they would just swim to the next one so it became a swimming competition. ![]() Season seven also felt more fake and commercialized because of formatting changes and special effects that looked cheap. The original series was cancelled because in season seven there were not two sets of obstacles in the season (Except for the first obstacle in the qualifier which was always different, the sucker punch, and the big balls, there were two different sets of obstacles in the qualifier, two different stets for round two, two-three sets for round three, and two Wipeout Zones for a season, excluding the earlier seasons). Even though Matt Kunitz, and Scott Larsen who were involved in the original series along with this reboot things got even worse. When I heard that Wipeout was going to be rebooted I thought they would look at the mistakes that were made in season seven and not make the same mistakes again, but no. The Mexican and Salvadoran lost to Krawczyk and Salisbury in last year's US Open final. There are so many things wrong with this reboot of Wipeout I have two full pages of notes about the problems with it. 1 seeds Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury in an epic super tiebreaker to advance into the second round. She also teamed up with Marcelo Arévalo again in the mixed doubles field and they managed to upset No. Meanwhile, Olmos paired up with Canada's Gabriela Dabrowski and the duo moved past Camila Osorio and Clara Burel in their first round. Christian teamed up with Lidziya Marozava and the duo fell in a tough opener to Shelby Rogers and Petra Martic. Team Doubles Trouble are currently competing at the Australian Open, but the two didn't join forces on the doubles court this week. Olmos also gives her partner in crime a 10/10 on the battlefield and tells Baseline the grueling experience was all worth it and is thrilled she had the chance to take on Wipeout with her best friend. "Happy I did it once to say I did it and compare it to what it's like to watch, but I think I'm good." Being thrown around so many times in one day and being so sore for the amount of time we were actually doing the obstacle course which was about only 15-20 minutes was insane. I don't think it was dumb to go on the show, it's just so much harder than anyone thinks. I think going on the show was one of the hardest things I've ever done and I also think one of the dumbest things I've ever done. "I used muscles I've never used in my life for a week and I could not move. "We did not train and I don't know if there is a way to properly prepare for this course, you kind of just blindly go in. "Tennis is obviously very physically demanding, but you train for it," Olmos told Baseline. 19 quickly learned these challenges were anything but a seamless straight-set win. So when Christian reached out about the opportunity she didn't hesitate in saying yes, but the doubles No. Olmos grew up watching the show with family and recalls thinking how easy it looked and that she could do it. 65 Kaitlyn Christian made their debut on the game show this week. That's right, last year's mixed doubles US Open finalist Giuliana Olmos and doubles world No. So you might be wondering why are we talking Wipeout? That's because two WTA players put their athletic capabilities to the ultimate test on the most recent episode, "Now That's What I Call Wipeout!" The show first debuted back in 2008 on ABC, but TBS is now the new home of the hilarious TV show and is hosted by comedian Nicole Byer and professional wrestler John Cena. ![]() New episodes of the recently re-booted Wipeout have officially arrived.
